Apalachee Bend Council comprises 4 regions as determined by
the Board of Directors. They are Capitol Area, Emerald Coast,
Spring Waters, and Tall Timbers. Regions are made up of the
Service Units.
It shall be the responsibility of each region to:
- elect delegates to and present the views of the
region to the council and receive their reports;
- consider proposed plans, policies, and other matters
referred to the region by the Board of Directors;
- consider ways of improving the quality of Girl Scouting
in the region;
- perform such other duties as may be delegated by the
Board.
- Capitol Area: Hokolin, Quihacha, San Luis,
Toocheenan, Wakulla (Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla Counties
- Emerald Coast: Osceola, Sand Castle, Wetappo
(Bay, Gulf, and Franklin counties)
- Spring Waters: Chipola, Falling Waters (Holmes,
Calhoun, Liberty, Jackson, and Washington Counties)
- Tall Timbers: Spring Warrior, Wacissa (Jefferson,
Madison, Taylor, Lafayette Counties)
These meetings are open to all registered members 14 years of
age and over, but are required for all elected delegates within
each service unit as well as Council Board and Nominating
Committee Members. Regional Meetings shall be held in the Fall
and Spring of each year and members will be notified of meeting
dates, locations, and times via written communication.
Many changes are on the horizon and we need everyone’s
participation in the Regional meetings. The dates and locations
are as follows:
